What 2-Year-Olds Are Learning

Our expert teachers prepare your 2-year-old for “big kid school” with simple math, science, pretend play, and group activities.

Building Brain Power and Strong Bodies

We make learning fun by mixing counting and patterns with singing, clapping, and movement. We work on memory and focus by learning names and tidying up.

Learning to Share and Make Friends

We teach children how to take turns, share, and be kind to everyone, even if they don’t look or act the same. They’ll expand their circle of friends.

Writing and Understanding Stories

Your child will start drawing and writing to share their ideas, and we encourage lots of practice. They ask and answer questions about the stories we read.

Expressing Themselves

Our 2-year-olds explore different forms of art, from painting and clay to dress-up and music.

Inside a Discovery Preschooler’s Day

Every day, our teachers guide your 2-year-old through fun learning activities that are just right for their age. They’ll learn important skills and facts like naming parts of the body, listening for patterns in music, building a tower with different materials, and more!

Group Time

Group time happens every day in each of our classrooms. In Discovery Preschool, your child will come together with other kids to learn about working with others. Teachers will read books, sing songs, and more.

Meals and Snacks

Meals are free and enjoyed together! We never serve juice or fried foods—just healthy fruits and veggies, lean proteins, and whole grains.

Outdoor Playtime

Our classes spend 20–30 minutes outside at least twice a day as the weather allows. It’s a time to explore and play using their imaginations.
