Dawna has worked in early childhood education since 2004. She has worked as an assistant director, an early learning director, and a program director. She has helped lead programs for babies through eighth grade, including before- and after-school care, summer camp, and drop-in care. Dawna earned an associate degree in early childhood education and later earned a bachelor’s. She loves creating a welcoming school where children feel safe, families feel supported, and teachers can do their best every day. Outside of work, Dawna enjoys reading, cruising, traveling, playing volleyball and basketball, watching sports, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. She is also the proud mother of two adult children.

Skyrise School on East 75th Street Programs
Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)
Our caring teachers make sure your baby feels safe, loved, and ready to explore. We’ll work closely with you to make it a smooth transition for your family.
Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)
Our toddler room is made for curious kids! We help them explore, try new things, and grow through play.
Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)
We teach little ones how to play and learn together. With fun games, early math and science, and lots of pretend play, they’ll be ready for preschool.
Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)
Your child will make art, try science experiments, and use their big imagination. We’ll help them get ready for kindergarten in fun, hands-on ways.
Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)
Pre-K builds skills for elementary school. Kids start to read, write, work with numbers, and grow their confidence in a safe, caring classroom.
Before- and After-School Programs (5–12 Years)
We start and end the day with fun! Whether your child loves making crafts, building things, or acting out stories, they’ll make friends and have a blast.
School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)
No two days are the same! We fill summer with fun projects, cool science, art, teamwork games, and exciting field trips.
Participating Child Care Aware Center
We partner with Child Care Aware® of America to help military families. We offer financial help and flexible options when on-base care isn’t available.
Small Group Enrichment Classes
Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)
Kids learn to cook new recipes from around the world—and pick up real-life math, science, and teamwork skills along the way.
Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)
Through singing, dancing, and playing instruments, kids build music skills and grow in areas like math, literacy, and mindfulness.
Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)
We build a love of reading while helping kids learn letters, sounds, and words. This helps them feel ready and excited for school.
STEM Innovators (3-8 Years)
Kids explore science, tech, engineering, and math through fun, hands-on activities. They’ll create, test, and bring big ideas to life.
